Miracle Noodles

Wednesday, April 11, 2012

Few days ago I bough Miracle Noodles. I've read about it here on SP. When I saw it, was hesitant at first if I will be able to put it in my mouth.. Anyways, yesterday I decided to cook it for my dinner. Cooked it according to pack's direction. In a pan, fried in 0.5 tbsp of unsalted butter 0.5 cubed cooked chicken breast remainings + 3 steamed asparagus spears (cut). Added boiled Miracle noodles to pan with chicken and as a sauce I used 3 tbsp 0 calorie and 0 carb Tomato and Basil pasta sauce which I also bought from low carb shelf.. The sauce also looks weird - it color is strange, and it's somewhat liquid. But once I mixed it all together, it came out great! I ate half of this meal and it has only 2 carbs! Does anyone else eat this noodles? What's ur opinion on it? Any recipe suggestion?

I'd be willing to give them a try if I was able to buy them in my area, but have never seen them here. (One of the drawbacks of small-town living!)

these noodles are a great substitute. a bit expensive, but, i'm worth it emoticon

for a pasta dish i always use the fettucine style noodles. then i will use the spaghetti style for soups. i used to always love those not good for you ramen soups, so, this is perfect.

i am going to try the angel hair style to make salad rolls. i love salad rolls. i know the wrapper is not going to be low carb, but, if i can make a healthier version i'll be thrilled. emoticon

my only taste complaint would be that i always used whole wheat pastas, so, this is obviously more like white pasta. that's what took getting used to for me.

If these are shirataki noodles I've always read that you should rinse them thoroughly first and the smell goes away.

I bought it in Nutrition House store. When I opened them, they smelled a bit. But once I boiled the noodles and added it to other ingredients + pasta sauce, the smell was gone, the food smelled just like regular, the taste was no different from what i make from regular ingredients. I liked it =)

I bought these noodles from netrition.com but I haven't tried them yet. I'm nervous. The reviews are so mixed. Some people love them, some people hate them. Guess I'm just going to have to jump in and make something so I can form my own opinion. If I like them I will stock up!

Did you feel like you were eating noodles?

Thanks for your blog. I will try them and let you know my thoughts.
