The new, the old, the blue

No, I'm not getting married. But my stepsister will. They announced it this Easter. We, the BF and I, spent the Easter holidays at my father, who, as you might know, now lives alone again after the death of my stepmother.
It was really nice to see him so shortly after Christmas again, though I was really shocked how much everything seems to go out of hand there. My father never was the kind of man who was able to take care of a household alone, and sure I couldn't in this huge house aswell. I did lots of housework on Saturday and we went grocery shopping to get stuff for a brunch on Sunday. Poor dad. He considers moving closer to me here when he retires (September). I'd actually like that, going to him is so expensive now and takes over five hours so I can rarely visit him. It breaks my heart that I cannot help him as much as I probably should. Though, my aunt helps him with the house now, until we all know what will be with it when he retires.
On another side note, almost everything is set here in the new apartment, I even already ironed the curtains, so the rooms almost look as lovely as I want them to. I am most proud of the kitchen and the living room. The white cupboards in the kitchen are a really good storing opportunity and the honey-coloured walls in the living room just go well with the wooden furniture and the black sofa.
Although, my new uni schedule is so packed - and as I need about 40 minutes to get there now - that I rarely have the power to exercise. Though, I seem to actually have lost fat or something during the moving. The scale is telling me that I gained weight (but it sometimes doesn't work at all or shows numbers ~ 10 kg higher or lower than before, so I guess it might be a little damaged), about 2 pounds or such, but I lost centimeters around my upper arms, my thighs, my knees, my hips etc. Good sign, eh? The stress during those days had me hold on to the weight until lately, I was just feeling bloated and fat. Though, it's getting better now. Being back on a regular schedule helps.
I shall go now, I need to attend two office hours before I have the first lecture today. Since the weather is getting fine again, I will take the bike today. 10 kilometers to uni, 10 kilometers back. I guess this is my workout now :)
