I'm super pumped and gearing up for my coming vacation in July. Going to Isle Royale for 5 glorious days of hiking and adventure. I plotted out our backpacking route last night and it ends up being just shy of 58 miles for the 5 days. Now I have been busy shopping for a pack for the trip since we have to carry all of our gear (for those that don't know what I meant by backpacking). I love trips like this no technology, just wilderness and some sweat.
I also need to get my booty training for the backpacking along with my triathlon. Not going to lie been slack on "actual" workouts lately. Not lazy mind you just working my booty off in the yard (I think taking out all that dirt and sod counts) and biking, hiking etc. Like I said not lazy just not sweat with the intention to improve physical fitness, more just maintenance stuff.
After work in the morning however I am hitting the pool followed by a long run, and at some point in the day a more substantial bike ride. Going to test out some backpacks too.
