Added some pictures today and I decided to do a before and now shot.
The before was taken back in February 2010 when I started SP at 226 pounds.
I had a bumpy start. Lost like 15 pounds the first few months, stopped coming to the site in April/May, went to the doctor that October and found out I had gained back the initial 15 pounds and a couple more. I came back to SP, READ THE BOOK and followed the stages.
I started seeing results. I really started taking my exercising seriously. Got a Polar FT 7 heart rate monitor for Christmas and did a LOAD of walking!
I started putzing out on my exercising during the summer due to this and that and just not making it a priority. Now I make sure I walk at least 3.5 miles every other day, if not more. Plus walking the dog adds another 10 miles a week!
I am slowly losing weight and inches. I think the slow weight loss is good because my body has time to adjust so there is no loose skin, it has a chance to "shrink" back I guess. I could probably lose faster if I cut out the occasional pizza and other fast food I have on weekends, usually when dh and I are out & about but I'm too busy living my life to do that. I figure I'm not going to never eat out again so I've learned to eat smarter when eating out, usually get the kids size or split something. But I defiantly see the danger of fast food, the high fat & sodium is just not healthy to be eating all the time.
I still have another 50 or so pounds to go. I've learned a lot from SP and my friends here, I am so glad I joined this site two years ago!!
