I am getting very good at measuring out my food these days. My problem is I have too many carbs and protein, and too little fat. Every morning I have 3/4 cup of Fiber one cereal - honey clusters. One of my other meals for the day is Fiber one cereal - honey squares. Sooo I am getting to many carbs from this choice. But - this is my healthier option for late in the day. I have always eaten four meals a day - with the fourth one being a heavier snack of 1/2 a sandwich or salad. A few months back I had to change my fourth one into more of a meal instead of a snack due to my increase in activity. I was starving - with nothing filling me up. Fiber is a good choice. However, I also have to limit my phosphorous, sodium, and whole grains. JOY JOY JOY!
I think I may try to change up the cereal again - both bowls being the honey squares. The squares are less calories, carbs, and sodium,ect!
Yes they say use Butter when you need some extra fat, or yet i take coconut oil capsules, and it is the good fat. and i also have coconut oil i cook with sometimes and i can take a spoonful every once in a while when i run out of the capsules. I give Lexy (dog) coconut oil every day. Umm cinn. bagel and cinn cream cheese, and cinn. is so good for you. Also he apple lClaire eats. C 1934 days ago
Perhaps some toast with butter or margarine would be good - you'd get some of that fat into your diet and depending on the bread you choose you could get a lot of fiber in. Or eat a bagel with cream cheese and an apple which is 246 calories, 41g carbs, 8g fat, 7g protein (this is my breakfast every day).
