My first blog!

Monday, April 09, 2012

Well here I am for the very first time, starting on a weight loss journey that I began back in January. I joined a gym and got 2 solid weeks out of it before I came down with bronchitis, three weeks later I feel I'm well again and get two more workouts in and then poof I get a viral infection. This week I will be going to workout for the first time in like almost a month and I admit that I am feeling the effects. I have been feeling very tired and sluggish lately, nothing like how I felt those two first initial weeks that I was working out; I felt more energetic, invigorated and just alot happier ~ I even lost 10 lbs in those first 2 weeks but now I feel like I've gained it back. I'm more determined than ever to get back to working out, to lose the weight and to change my life! I will be using this blog to vent, rant, update on challenges I'm taking on SparkPeople, talk about my workouts and goals etc. I'm really excited to get this blog going and to really utilize it to the best of my abilities ~ look foward to sharing this journey with all of you :)

Thank you for everyone who has posted their well wishes and encouragement, this is one reason why I joined Spark People besides getting help with losing weight ~ I love how people here genuinely care and are encouraging no matter what. I'm proud to be a part of this community and will be staying here for a very long time :)

If you were on a steriod for the broncitis, there is your answer right there. Steriods cause weight gains and sadly stay in our systems for 6 months before completely leaving us. Until then, do the best you can do, eat healthy, lots of water and most importantly rest

You can do it. Just remember to take it easy getting back to exercising. do do too much because it will set up back instead of move you forward. When you blog you will see how far you have come. emoticon

you might have gained it back but not due to anything you did wrong. Antibiotics can cause weight gain. But now that you are getting back to working on getting into a groove then you'll lose the weight.
