The "Best of Sparkpeople" emails seem to hit home lately!
The one this morning had the link to the quiz for body image.
The last time that one cycled through I was boarder line miserable and not happy with looking in the mirror.
This time around...I got a "Love your Body" score.
And it is true!
Sure, I still am not comfortable with the idea of stepping out in a bathing suit, but that actually has more to do with the spider veins I have no control over on the back side of my legs than my body its self!
And I find myself wondering if tanning might help those spider veins 'hide' more. But I don't want to lay in a tanning bed either...one, it's boring...two, I have already had a mole taken off my back when I was 16 that was 'pre-cancerous' (whatever that really means)
We will be heading down to St. Louis on Wednesday evening, the hubby, my parents and myself. For the 2012 NRA Convention! Judd and I went last year over in Pittsburgh PA and had a BLAST! We ate at some really nice resturants, and had a really good time. This year should prove to be a little more challenging for meals, being as my parents don't eat the odd foods we do...ok, my DAD doesn't. Like, I can't imagine him being very happy going to someplace with sushi. He doesn't even do Chinese buffets! (one of our favorite things to do) So we got some ideas from our best friends who have family in the area and know the good spots!
I will also have my pedometer ready! Can't wait to see how many steps a 4 day convention logs up! I have new shoes waiting and new socks for my feet to be comfortable! (I have worn the shoes once or twice so I know they won't hurt my feet!) AND they are pink!
So today at the gym I did my legs and some abs (got there later than I wanted to so I didn't get through both sets on the abs) I have to complete my 3 days of ST all in a row since I won't be able to when I am staying at the hotel. And I have to figure out how I am going to work the swim suit I have so I can take in the pool. And they do have a fitness room there too, but those are normally only elliptical and treadmills!
Planning ahead as much as I can...knowing I will do the best that I am able...and LOVE every minute of my mini vacation!
