I started the Couch 2 5k program in October and ran 6 miles last weekend. I found the toughest part of the program is the mind game. I never thought I would be a runner but figured "why not try it and see what happens". When I'd go out I could only think that other people had a ton of success with it and I could too.
Trust the program. Yes, you are probably going to look at the next weeks program and go "holy crap, there is no way that I can do that" but you totally can!

I can't speak from experience of the C25K program as I have never tried it. However, I looks like it's a good program that you can take at your own pace. If you have to repeat a week or take a day off if it gets too much, you can. I have heard many people have had great success with the program. Good luck! 1512 days ago
