Ok soo I know I've been a little MIA lately but I am back in full swing now. My boyfriend has been here for a while and weight loss has not been happening but that's ok because I'm back on track now! I've been watching what I eat usually but not as much as I could have. I went back to my college town when my boyfriend got in town for a week and I drank a a good bit of those days! Also we didn't really have any food except easy stuff we could buy from Walmart so we ate out almost every day we were there. I still tried to keep myself in check but it was definitely a struggle. I did buy those salad bowls, Chobani yogurt, nature valley granola bars, healthy choice meals, and chocolate (of course.) College is not an easy place to be healthy especially when everyone wants to hang out with you and go out to eat. My weight fluctuated from 142 to 144.4 depending on how much water I drank, what I ate, and if I went out drinking the night before. Anyhow I don't really regret anything because we have been home now a few days and I am finding it not too bad to get the weight off now. I was 142.6 this morning so I am well on my way down again. I am very happy to know I can do week long vacations and not have any problems with getting back on track and bringing my weight back down again right after! I think in my past I have just let my body build fat up without trying to get rid of it right after.
My first day I was there I went to my sorority meeting to see some friends and people were shocked at how much better I was looking so I was really excited to hear that! Nobody has noticed until then so I was starting to wonder if I even looked better or not lol. I mean I know I see a difference in my clothes but I was wondering if it was actually noticeable to others.
So my clothes update... I bought SIZE 6! Yes I did! I bought a size 6 jeans and size 6 shorts. I was very inspired because my roommate who is like size 1 or 3 gave me a pair of size 4 jeans to wear after I spilled on my jeans. She claimed they were size 5 and fresh from the dryer so I was already skeptical that I could even pull them up let alone button it. But I did! I will tell you that they were tight but I definitely buttoned it! So now my goal size is a size 4. She let me keep the jeans so these are my new goal jeans. Except that I will be getting new jeans when I am that size since they are a bit old looking... I also bought a ton of workout clothes mostly shirts. This is mainly because I have been soaking my cotton shirts to the max and that is no fun to wear around. I figure I deserve it since I've kept up exercise this long. The only thing is my shirts get stinky if I don't wash them soon after wearing! haha...
My goal weight is still 135 and right now I just hope to reach that in 2 months. I want to lose 3 more pounds by the 26th which is when I head to vet school so hopefully I can reach that. I will pretty much do whatever it takes to be there.
My boyfriend and I love P.F. Changs and considered going there but after reading the calories and what I usually eat when I go there, it's about 3,000 calories. Yea I can eat some food lol. So yes even he was like wow and that's saying a lot because he doesn't really watch what he eats very much. What I get when I go there is lettuce wraps, spring roll, shrimp/sweet and sour chicken, and a mini dessert. We get the meal for two so it seems like a lot but we share everything. Still wowzers. I'm definitely not saying I won't ever go there again. But I'm definitely saying that I will choose off the menu differently and it will only be an extremely rare occurrence.
My new latest food thanks to my protein blog post is the Chobani yogurts. Oh my gosh they are so GOOD! I mean I don't think I could go back to "regular" yogurts. I mean just wow delicious and filling. Yep they're a keeper but I don't know that they'll have them where I will be going to vet school but i hope they do.
I know it's such a long post but it's been a while!!
