Coconut oil- a must for everyone!

Sunday, April 08, 2012

I don't normally post something to endorse any product but I must tell you all about coconut oil. You should google it, seriously, It helps for weight loss, for a hair conditioner, for bruising, as a mild SPF, as a lotion, it helps HIV patients, there is literally a list as long as my leg of all the benefits of this product. I buy the cheaper stuff from Trader Joes and it is a 16 oz bottle of organic virgin coconut oil for $7. We bought two of them, one for eating and one for the body.

I can't say scientifically how great this stuff is without all the proper tests and etc, but what I WILL say is this, it is supposed to give you a steady stream of energy and when I take some in my coffee or otherwise and then I work out or jog afterwards I have this shock of energy that lasts for a few hours and it only started after I began using this product.

My weight was only going down a little bit, this week I was down nearly 4 lb and I didn't do anything different besides starting to use coconut oil daily.

My mom's weight was around the 160s and she couldn't get it lower no matter what she did and today after using it for a week she is finally at 158.

I had a huge bruise on my leg from a spinning bike and I bruise easily and my bruises last a long time but after rubbing coconut oil on it, it will easily be gone in a week.

I know it's kind of a ramble but if you aren't aware of the benefits of coconut oil you should look it up, it's a miracle product.

Wow I'm glad so many people came out to agree! KKLennert: It is technically a trans fat but it's like a "healthy" trans fat. It is good for you, you can look at google and they have a ton of info on different websites. It's amazing!

TRCIAM: It depends on how much you like, At first I did only about a teaspoon and then added a little more from there. It can make it a little greasy because it stays on the top. A weird benefit of that though is my lips have never been softer.

Thanks for the blog! I'll have to try some.

How much coconut oil do you put in your coffee? Does that make your coffee taste greasy at all?

It sounds great but isn't coconut oil one of the "bad" fats for your health? In the same catagory as trans fats? emoticon

Thanks for the feedback! You often hear of products that are supposed to help, but hearing from another Spark friend that it actually does work adds validity for me. I'm gonna try it this week too!

    Have a wonderful day!
