Easter Sunday

Sunday, April 08, 2012

Happy Easter Sunday everyone!

I was planning to go to the allotment again today. I spent a few hours there yesterday: I completely cleared out what will become the potato patch - it is now completely free of weeds, dug out and ready for planting.
I was planning to start on the courgette, squash and marrow corner today and spread some weed-killer down, but the weather refused to play nice! emoticon
Ah well, hopefully I'll be luckier tomorrow.

So, as I was stuck home alone (my son's gone to his dad's until Tuesday), I changed from my gardening clothes into my workout clothes and did a 45 minute upper body strength workout.

Now, I'm having a bit of a lazy afternoon watching Mary Poppins on TV whilst drinking a cheeky cappuccino emoticon

I'm also trawling the Internet to find new clean recipes to try out and choosing what meals to prepare next week so I can then write my shopping list. One recipe from OhSheGlows I'm most certainly going to make is this one: Mini peanut butter cup in a jar!

I will also have to do a few house-chores whether I like it or not - wish I had a bit of Mary Poppins magic (or spoonful of sugar!) to deal with it!

Have a fab day Sparkfriends! emoticon

    Happy Easter!

The mini peanut butter cup in a jar looks good. I can understand wanting Mary Poppins magic to deal with house chores. I've often said I wanted Merlin from Disneys Sword in the Stone to enchant my kitchen into becoming a self cleaning on. I'm still waiting on that. With 2 boys it seems like it's a self dirtying kitchen instead. Oh well, they grow up to fast to complain much about it.

Have a wonderful day!

Do you plant sweet potatoes/yams as well? Sounds like you're getting a lot accomplished at the allotment. I'm looking forward to hearing about recipes with home grown vegetables :). I loved your recipe picture blogs when you posted them. OhSheGlows looks like an interesting site - I'll have to browse when I have an extra moment. Hope you're having a great Sunday! emoticon
