Little surprise for me last night

Saturday, April 07, 2012

So when I went out to but the dogs to bed last night, they had this little "surprise" for me. I have no idea how they got it and killed it. They have now killed 2 skunks, 1 possum, several squirrel and now a turkey buzzer. Geez, I wonder what next.

The house is quiet now that our friends have left. But yesterday was great getting back onto a good healthy eating plan. And the scale treated me by being down 1.5 pounds....surely lots of water weight from drinking beers and all. But nice to see the drop. I plan to continue eating light today and then tomorrow for Easter we plan on going to the next village for the grilled platter that is so good and won't be too bad eating wise. It's funny, it never really seems like Easter here as you don't see any commercial stuff here. Nothing to do with Easter baskets or bunnies or candy. So no temptations at all there. We don't even see jelly beans down here. There is a big passion play that portrays Jesus carrying the big wooden cross up a mountain and such. I have gone every year accept this year. It's a big deal and they make costumes and such. So it is a big religious holiday for the Mexicans.
Just started reading The Hunger Games so think I will exercise and then read some today. I didn't think I would want to read it but our friends that were just here both read them and left the first book here so I thought I would try it. So far I find it very interesting.
Hope all my sparks buddies are doing great this Easter week end.
Sallie

I'm spending my Easter at the Rennaisance Faire, so it won't seem like Easter for me either, but I did eat a boiled egg that had been colored for Easter at the AARP meeting I went to, so that's my Easter LOL

Enjoy your Easter. We're staying home after 2pm - town and the road are crazy! Traffic was backed to almost a standstill from 7pm till 2am, load music and sirens till 3am. Chaos and mayhem... but fun to watch from a distance.

Perhaps talk to a animal behaviour specialist? It isn't right that other animals can't go around without lossing their lifes, I would be worried...
