We are having a wonderful spring holiday season. Trying to minimize our stuff, we are giving granddaughters glass baskets full of SuzinL Choclateir candy. One basket is from Dh's mother--a clear basket from a lady born in England the end of 1880's. She left school as a child, after 3 years to work in a sweatshop in London to support her family, but she read 2 or more hours every day of her life to be educated.Another basket is signed Fenton from my mother with violets on. She was an angel. Pink Basket 3 is from Aunt Mid who was a southern lady who had a pink cadallic, pink clothes, and pink satin in her house. The mini basket is from my great aunt Emma who was a minister's wife and the grande dame of the Easter season at church. Such wonderful memories and I am enjoying telling the girls about these strong, capable, lovely women ancestors.
Food is another wonderful part of the holidays. Here are low carb Easter recipes from about.com lowcarbdiets.about.com/o

Wishing you happiness with friends and family this weekend.
