Mom brought over multi-grain rolls tonight. They were better than cake, fresh out of the oven. I had one with butter. It was Really Good!
Here is my plan going forward with sugar:
I hope to limit my sugar intake to once a week. I hope to not stock sugary baked goods in my house on a regular basis, but have enough flexibility to enjoy dessert at birthdays and on one day of the holidays. If I'm cooking, that dessert during a holiday can be fruit, and doesn't need to be a baked good.
Since I've discovered this month that two days in a row of sugar brings back cravings, while one day isolated doesn't, I think it's important to remember that during the holidays and other times. My body feels better without continuous sugar intake. I believe that the first 8 pounds came off as easily as they did because my body doesn't really want that sugar anyway, and is happier because I went cold turkey on sugar right up front.
