Did 30 min elliptical intervals then a half an hour Zumba Curves. I made the descision to quit Curves. My hands simply don't tolerate reefing on those bars any more. It doesn't make sense to pay $60 a month for something I can't get full use of. I have access to a bike, tredmill and elliptical in my apartment so I don't need cardio. Will really miss the atmsophere though.
After my Dr. appointment, Mom and I walked home over the river trails, just beating the rain storm home. At least its not snow!
Have a Fantastic Friday all!

So sorry you had to quit Curves...what a hard decision for you. But I know that you have to do what is best for you.

You've made a good decision, I think. Glad you got a walk in with your mom. Happy Easter, Hugs

It sounds like a sensible decision, Linda, but still a tough one. I'm a Y member . . . have been most of my life . . . and have to say, it's the other people at the gym (many of whom I've known for over 30 years) as much as the workout equipment that keeps me exercising!!

You'll keep moving anyhow: we know that you are determined!!

Too bad about Curves. emoticon I have plenty of workout tools and equipment at home, but I don't incorporate the strength training in as I should. Everything's right there in the basement waiting for me. You are amazing with the amount of activity that you do despite your limitations. I know you'll find a way to fill Curves void because you rock!

Sorry you have to give up Curves, but it does sound like a sensible decision. Based on yesterday's post, I don't think you'll have a hard time finding a way to fill the void. :-/

If there are people there that you don't want to lose touch with maybe you could set up weekly walking/hiking dates?

That is a lot of money for something you can't adequately use or that hurts you. Sounds like you have other alternatives to keep you busy and active. You are so amazing!

Hmm $60 is steep if you're not getting full use. I am using videos while I wait for the gym in my apartment to be refurnbished.

I didn't realize Curves had gone up that much, back when I belonged (5-6 years ago) it was $30 a month. But it might be more in Canada or it might be that much here now, too. That is a lot of money when you can't get the use of the equipment. I'm still not sure what Zumba Curves you do Zumba moves in the intervals between using the machines? I'm glad you beat the rainstorm home. The only snow we had here this winter was less than an inch and it was gone in a day, which is fine with me.
