I'm only 5 pounds away from my goal. But ever since I started exercising 5 times a week, I've gotten so much hungrier. When I started my diet, I'd be slightly hungry sometimes but I was still able to control what I ate. But in the past 2 weeks, I overate more than I have in the past 2 1/2 months.
But it's not a bad, eating 1,000 calories over, type of splurge. I'll just tend to go 100 calories over... with a few exceptions. What I'll probably do is continue eating healthy, of course. And I'll continue going to the gym 5 times a week. But I'll change my goal to be my current weight and go into maintenance. I'll try to keep the weight off and I'll continue training for my 5k, but the focus will be more on getting more exercise and becoming a better runner than on losing weight. And if I lose weight on the process, then I'll be happy, but it won't be my main focus.
After my 5k, if I'm still the same weight, I'll try to get rid of those 5 pounds. But I'm in the middle of the healthy BMI range, and 5 pounds isn't much of a difference. I've lost 18 pounds, and I'll be happy with that.
