Trial and Error

I decided to do a juice day today just to see what I was getting myself into and to get some practice with the process.

I started the day juicing some cantaloupe and added some coconut water and a bit of lime juice. Pretty yummy.

From there it went downhill. I was in a bit of a hurry because I had to get to work, so I probably could have saved this next juice from yuckiness if I had had more time to play with it. I juiced some Romaine, cilantro, pears, celery and cucumber. It definitely needed help. I drank it cause I'm not too fussy, but I'm putting it in the Loss column.

I'm in the middle of my third batch right now, and it's really good. I did a bunch of carrots, a beet, some pineapple and some more coconut water.

I made all these juices using my Vitamix and then straining the mixture through a nut milk bag. It was fun. Kinda like milking a cow! My hands turn interesting colors too.

One thing I'll have to work on is making sure I get enough calories in. I'll really have to work to do that today. I may just call it a wash and live and learn. As Skinny said in her recent blog. Some things work, some don't.

It also seemed that I drank less water than usual today. I usually drink quite a bit, so I don't think cutting back some will hurt.

I'm surprisingly not hungry!

    It is definitely a trial and error thing. I did a week of green smoothies, juice & just fruit & veggies before I started juicing. Helped a lot just figuring out the process and how much to buy. Still figuring it out. Good luck.

    What a good idea to do a trial run! Karen is going to help you so much!

One thing you didn't mention: betting a rush from the juice. I always feel like the nutrients hit my system like a flood of joy when I juice.

I how you keep blogging about your adventure! Thank you for sharing your experience. It's going to be go cool to go on it with you!

    I tried romaine in a smoothie once and will never make that mistake again. I'll save it for salads. It tasted a bit like dirt. LOL

    And, I was waiting for it. See, that didn't hurt did it? LOL

Calories in the form of fruit will help. Do as much juice as possible. REST! You know how much I did of that the first god awful month! 12 hrs per day in bed on my back with Little Fritzi and Buddy-Buddie nursing me to health.

Did you do an enema yet? If not get to it!
