IS IT OVER?

Thursday, April 05, 2012

What can I say? I am sooooo thrilled and yet saddened that this round is over. We went through many downtimes, personal problems, WI that were rollercoaster rides. Yet, came through with a 12.5 lb loss and even more important to me.....a 9.75 in loss and MOST of it was around the belly. Can you imagine how great I felt when 34 in pants were falling off my waist?
It was awesome. Now the fear crept in! Can I maintain this after our leaders have coined a new Monikor with DOM?!! Can I make the changes that will keep me here? Just digging through my closet and looking for the 32 in pants and feeling real good that they fit. Throwing in a couple 33 in also. Not all "tailors" or manufactures have the same idea for the size 32s.
Only 35 more days of school and the summer will be here! Some yard work to do and then there is camp. Love that CAMPER! With this BLC BPC I hope to train myself to keep on track with.
Reality hit last night! I was "celebrating" the end of #18. Mistake! I didnt workout or go to the gym and ate cake, pizza, and kept grazing. Believe it when I say that I actually felt nauseated when I went to bed. All the sugar and cals just dont cut it anymore and I am glad about that. However, I have kicked myself for letting myself fall like that even though I KNEW better. I guess this is all part of preparing for maintenance.
Will really watch over these holidays, keep up checking the scale, and keep the gym dooor open for myself. And most importantly TRACKING everything that crosses my lips. Will look forward to #19 and a new beginning of the new me!!

emoticon on being in maintainence. I totally understand the fear factor about being able to maintain. Me, too. Kinda don't know where to start. Spark doesn't really have much info about maintaing. Maybe we could all work at it together.

Don't think of this as the end - this is a new phase - maintenance! Now there's a challenge for you. Believe me, it is just as hard to maintain as it is to lose weight. But you have been so up for a challenge, I know you will succeed. You have done so well, Don - you are an example to us all.

I know what you mean about the nauseous feeling-

Yay Don! I admire all of your hard work and progress so much! You are so right about not celebrating the end of this round with food and inactivity! Keep doing what makes you feel good.. this is for life!
