On the eve of 50

Wednesday, April 04, 2012

As I prepare to head off to work (a blessing) and turn one year older (50 emoticon emoticon emoticon) I can't help but think about my family and friends who will never see 50. I think about my Mom in heaven who is probably smiling down on me as I write this that another one of her baby girls is starting a new decade. Wow, I am feeling humble, blessed and grateful for God's blessings He has bestowed in my life. I lost another co-worker to a senseless speeding accident on a motorcycle a couple of days ago. It has really made me reflect on how precious life is and to have a right relationship with God. You never know when He will call you home. I witness this co-worker tearing out of the parking lot at shift change and later on that morning I heard on the news about the horrific accident. You just don't know.

I gave myself the best birthday present ever, i weighed in today at my Weight Watchers meeting and I have recorded my lowest weight ever since I began this journey in earnest January 2011. Signing up last October with Dr. Oz's transformation nation alone I am down -26.6 lbs emoticon emoticon emoticon I am giving this one to the good Lord, my work is still not done and glory! The best is yet to come! emoticon
