Back home again

Wednesday, April 04, 2012

Well, I am back home again after having a nice little vacation/visit with my sister. I didn't quit smoking but I have really cut down a whole lot!
My granddaughter will be here tomorrow for 10 days-I can't wait! She is so grown up already though and she is only 10, well, almost 11 in June. She is my walking buddy and craft buddy:)
I am feeling so much better. This is my first week off radiation and chemo and I am already starting to feel so much better, it's amazing to go from being so sick to almost feeling healthy again in such a short time:)
Have a great Wednesday, SP!

Sue, So glad to hear you have cut back on the smoking. Great progress! You will get there. So glad to hear you are getting past at least the first stage of treatments and get a break. Best, Patty emoticon emoticon

Suz, there are Biblical examples of those who did hand-to-hand combat with dark forces. At times it seems they were overwhelmed, but Jesus knew they were His. He never allows one of His own to fight alone and be overcome. A good example is Mary Magdalene who loved Jesus so much, yet at least 7 times had to have demons cast out.

I am glad you refuse to be discouraged and see victory in what was accomplished at your sister's. Jesus knows your circumstances and He will make a way. He sees the yearning of the heart.

I know you will have a great time with your granddaughter. Some of my most precious memories are the couple of times a year (we lived several states away) I got to spend with my grandmother. Like you she was so much fun! We walked, played, and worked side by side. She made me feel special and had a HUGE impact on my life even though I did not get to see her very much.

Know your boys are glad Mom's home!

I did not mean to be harsh. I am sorry if I offended you. I know you are trying, and that you are relying on the Lord everyday. I am praying for you. Enjoy your time with your granddaughter. She is privileged to have this time with you.

    to everyone:
I will be smoking outside once my GD gets here, but I told my family I did not quit and my daughter had to work the whole weekend, so the house did not get done and my son's are still smoking also. They had good intentions, but circumstances didn't allow for them to do it as planned.
I am not giving up! Being at my sister's helped me to cut down quite a bit, so I still made some progress:)

Enjoy your granddaughter!!! Be an example to her, and try not to smoke in front of her. And after all the work your family did for you, are you just smoking outside like your son is??
Praying for you to have the Lords strength to quit for good. Keep it up. You will get there.

Such good news that you are feeling better. Don't overdo while your granddaughter is with you.
You are doing so good.
