Yikes! It's been a while since my last post!
Unfortunately I was a slacker when my friend came up to visit NYC a few weeks ago. I ended up not working out as much so that I could hang out with my friend and I only worked out twice that week!
Then my roommate (and leaseholder) told my boyfriend and I we had 2 months to find a new apt! I have to say I've had some terrible luck when it comes to apartments in NY. One year I moved 4 times!! I call this The New York Shuffle!
Luckily we had been in this apartment for a year before we had to move, but our roommate says he is now making more money and wants his apartment to himself again. Luckily, my boyfriend's mother, who lives in Queens, offered to let us stay with her a few months, rent-free, while we saved some money and took our time to find a new place! So instead of waiting 2 months, we decided to leave this past weekend so we could avoid paying any more rent! Needless to say, it's been a very stressful and busy week for me!
At first I was actually trying to find a new apartment and spent the first part of the week making phonecalls and traveling all-over NY! Then, after seeing the brokers' fees, we decided it would be best to move in with my boyfriend's mother. This was a tough decision on my part because she's not the easiest person to get a long with and it would mean living under her rules. So far, it's Day 3 and I've already decided to spend as much time out of the house as possible!
I spent yesterday being very depressed about this situation, but I've decided to make this work to my advantage! That means a lot more time at the gym and library! I can't spend too much money (gotta save for that apt!) but I'm hoping to spend the weekends exploring NY and getting out into the world! My 30 Day Shred has been, well, shredded, but that doesn't mean I have to quit exercising or building those muscles!
