Walked 20/29 days in Feb, but the food recording bit the dust really fast, alas.
Walked 19 days in March plus kayaked 2 other days. And so far, 3/4 days walking in April.
This month I've started using a heart rate monitor to make sure I'm not just strolling for nothing, which will likely speed me up a bit. The friend I walk with is not so keen to work hard (has some medical problems), so we'll see how that works out, though our pace hasn't been bad--certainly we arrive home in a sweat. Today I was alone & got through my 3.52 km (2.2 miles) several minutes faster than usual. I did toss in a couple of running intervals, which I may be able to do while walking with my friend--run out ahead & then back to her or something.
Anyway, walking through way below freezing temps and snow should be behind us. It's great to see spring! I won't ruin the moment by mentioning black flies ... oops, did I say that out loud? ;-)
Best wishes to everyone for keeping on with the exercise program -- if we want our health & strength to last as long as we do, exercise is a must!
p.s. I still have to get my free weights back in action ... will this be the month?? Stay tuned.
