Unknowingly eating bugs?

Wednesday, April 04, 2012

The more I read about what's in processed foods, the more I want to prepare my own meals so that I can control the ingredients.

I don't believe I want to know about the article. I have been trying to get away from all process foods. Seems like I do so much better when I do my own cooking! emoticon

I think stuff like the article is informative. I read something like that years ago.
TODAY...people have this fantasy that things all packaged and LOOKING PRETTY is germ free...when the truth is everything we eat has been handled by others.
Sometimes articles like those sort of take off the veil of what people feel more comfortable THINKING about the products they consume and awaken them to a reality they never wanted to know about. I believe most producers LOVE those type of consumers.
No matter what there are microrganisms present...bugs are a part of LIFE.
We are so civilized it is gross to think we could possibly eat them...the truth is WE DO AND apparently...WE LIKE THEM.

I'm afraid to click the link. The last time I read one of these, I ran out and bought a meat grinder so I wouldn't have to buy hamburger.

I have totally gotten away from processed foods -just give me my fruits and veggies up straight -but I would rather have the bugs if I had a choice -all natural choices...
Thanks for the info!!

I'm afraid to read your link. But, I do try to make as much as I can at home. I'll continue to pretend everything I eat is bug-free!

Well, I did read the article and it actually says that eating these bugs is NOT harmful, whereas the chemicals are... In any case, the less processed food, the better :-)
