Dear Aching Body...

I know today was a rough day, but please forgive me. It will get better. I know that today was our first day back in the gym for several weeks. Between changing jobs and figuring out times we could get in took a few weeks. Plus with the new job you are now sitting all day long, so it was necessary. Please don't freak out and spasm every muscle we worked tonight. I will try to feed you good food as long as you don't freak out. It will get better the more we do it. I promise this. I will try to push you soon as we start to train for the 5k in July, but it will be okay. :)

The warm bath seemed to help and I will try to make things less painful as I can without resorting to pain meds. So bear with me as I work to make us a bit smaller, but healthier and much happier.

    Taking time to stretch afterwards helps a lot with being less sore the next day. Sometimes I will take an noninflammatory drug like ibuprofen to help relieve the muscle too. Congrats on getting back to the gym and good luck with your 5k! emoticon
