Ha ha ha...Let's see.

Update since my March 14, 2012 car accident.

Recovery: chest pain from seat belt across my chest being what made my body go from around 55mph to 0mph in an instant. Besides that I am one lucky woman who appreciates every moment of every day even more than before.

I have been struggling running because of my chest pain. I should specify that it isn't a heart issue. It is inflammation of where my ribs meet my breast bone. Extremely painful & doesn't seem to decrease much. Running has caused muscle spasms in the area. If anyone else is stubborn like me they can imagine me trying to run with it.

I have a 1/2 marathon coming up April 21. That is what I am trying to prepare for. I'm not too sure I will be able to run it. Again, I am thankful to be alive and not seriously injured.

This past weekend I went for a 6 mile trail run on quite the trail. It was rocky, full of tree roots, moss, slippery, still had snow, and it made for an interesting experience. A beautiful area to run and a great day.

I am looking for a puppy for my 6 year old son. Our 8 year old yorkie passed away not too long ago and he has been really taking it hard. I am hoping to find one by Thursday so I can give it to him for Easter.

I hope everyone is well and living every moment to the fullest. I am living proof that life can change in the blink of an eye. Just see my previous blog post.

I'm so glad to hear that you're recovering well and hope the inflammation goes away soon. Don't push it too much and aggravate it instead of letting it run its course in its own time. I've always loved your positive attitude and am glad to see it's still there after quite the year for you. Hope you find the right puppy. How about a mutt from the animal shelter?

I had an accident in September 2011 and wrote my car off, I ran into a car which turned left at the last minute and another car ran into the back of mine.

I was going much slower than you though but too considered myself very, very lucky.

Well done you for getting back to running! I couldn't zumba for a couple of weeks but totally back to it now. emoticon

Ouch! I hope you feel better soon. I think getting your son a new puppy for Easter is so sweet and will surely make it easier for him to get over the lose of your dog. Good luck puppy shopping!
