slow and steady...

I will not get discouraged when i don't lose weight every week. I am on a downward trend and this is what is important.

When I see other ppl losing quickly it frustrates me, but I know that this is the only way to make permanent changes.

Thank you so much everyone! I know we all go through this. I just went for an hour long power walk and feel great. For the last 18 months I have had foot issues that have prevented me from walking and they are gone! I had eczema on my feet and pain in my toes. When I started eating better the eczema started to go away!

I am in it for the long haul. I just want to see small steps and I will, with all of your support.

I love sparkpeople!!!! emoticon

You have to be living the way you would be willing to live forever anyway. Would you be willing to do what you are and stay where you are rather than gain the weight back? Because that is the other option.

If you see where there is some small place you could either eat less or move more, try it with curiosity and kindness. There is not point to eating or moving in a way that gets you to some low weight but ends up being a constant struggle. If not, try to just keep reinforcing the good habits you have already. You might be more ready later and it may not even be that hard. emoticon

Great Attitude; Don't let the scales rule you, you rule the scales. Keep up the great work and you will see the number on the scales change as your body responds to the changes.

I know the feeling and what ur going thru. The important thing about these experiences is what u learn from them and what you do to get out of them. When I went thru a plateau, I had to figure out what I wasn't doing wrong and what I was doing right. I had to take week by week and figure out what the issue was. After weeks of no weight loss and trying many things, I soon found out that I had to spike up my metabolism. I had to begin to work out shorter but wiser. I even have done a few other things to increase my metabolism. By taking in more knowledge, I was able to start on the track to weight lose again.

So don't get discouraged. Be encouraged! Find out what it is you need to change and what ur doing right and then move forward. Make adjustments and move forward.

Hope this was helpful! Be blessed and May u have good success!
