When I track my food, the things I learn!
Today I went wayyyyyyyyyyyyy over my calorie range, way over on my fats, way way over on carbs.
Where was I under? Protein.
I did get the water in, but need to drink more earlier in the day.
So, I learned:
more sleep is essential! I am going to bed in ten minutes. I swear.
It is also going to be necessary to track my food earlier in the day. It is nice to get on at 10 pm and track it all, but if I track earlier in the day I can do a better job of staying within my calorie range (and I have set my calorie range...it's fairly broad).
More protein is needed.
I am definitely someone who mistakes thirst for hunger......I just need to fill up that water bottle and glug glug glug.
However, one big success today: workout. I go to a Corepower class, it's a combo of Pilates and yoga and core workout and it's brutal. I sweat a lot when I'm there. Today I had all kinds of trouble holding my body weight up....hands on mat, knees on mat, and lift knees an inch off mat...man! And my core was begging for mercy halfway through the class. I will not give in, I must work my core. I look like an apple on two popsicle sticks and I will reduce my middle.
After the class, I walk to work from the Y. It's a mile, and I drag a big pink bag (the only one that my yoga mat fits in!) It takes me 20 minutes, usually, depending on the stop lights.
My gym bag is mostly packed (I need a shirt, which is in the wash right now) and I haven't yet packed my lunch....so off I go to do those chores. I have a water bottle packed, and I'm charging my phone so I can do the day 3 week 2 C25K workout in the morning.
Onward!
