It is already April and I have been on an amazing journey.
Since I have been here I have met some amazing people and
caught up with friends from way back. I was lucky enough to
have met two of my Spark friends,Sandra(KNITTABLES) in
Vancouver and SHAWN in Bremerton, Washington.
Thank you ladies it was so great to catch up. I loved meeting
both of you. Unfortunately I couldn't make it to see Carol
SAM-60 something, but if I am lucky enough to come back next
year, you will be the first I will catch up with Carol. I promise!
I have not been as active on Spark as I would have liked, so I will
apologise to my friends as I have lost the subscription to your blogs.
Once I am home, I will slowly start subscribing to them again and
catching up on what you are all doing.
I have been quite ill with a bronchial infection and at one stage
pleurisy was suggested. My voice is back now and I have been resting.
Six weeks on the road was quite exhausting. I have not weighed myself
in a few months and I know I have gained some pounds which I will
definitely work on. It is hard when you are visiting to have much
say as to what to eat but I really tried to eat right where and when I
could.
April has arrived with brilliant sunshine here in San Francisco. I am
really enjoying the City by the Bay. I am also enjoying this last week
with my son before I head home on Good Friday. The flight will be an
hour and a half to Los Angeles and then 4 hours to check in and 14 and
a quarter hours to Brisbane and then 2 more hours to the Gold Coast.
I am exhausted just thinking about it. That's why I am taking it easy.
I am not looking forward to going home as my landlord has decided to
up the rent and so I am going to try and find a room to share or a granny
flat. I will have a week off before going back to work on April 16th.
Just a recap about my friend who was to have surgery. She has had the
double knee replacement and has now developed DVT. I will make an
effort to catch up and see how she is coping and offer her any help she
may need.
To most of you this April 1st is Palm Sunday, so enjoy. Our Orthodox
Easter is a week later. Blessings to everyone as we celebrate a new
beginning. Let's make this month the one to pull out all the stops
and lose all the bad habits while enjoying a positive lifestyle which
includes eating right and exercising.
All in all I have enjoyed crisscrossing this great country and I feel
blessed that I was able to seize the chance to travel while I am still
relatively healthy and able. It was truly amazing.
