Farmers Market Finds

Saturday, March 31, 2012

DH & I woke up this morning, get Munchkin ready and made the drive to the new farmers market. It's a good bit farther out than the old one, but it was so worth it!
The primary vendor with produce had zucchini as long as my arm for $1.50 per pound, broccli for $.75 per head, beautiful pineapple, kale, fresh string beans, corn, apples, etc. Another vendor made apple jam & spiced pumpkin butter and orange marmelade which we purchased. The tomatoes were big, bright & vibrant, the cucumbers deep & firm I cannot wait to get these thins sliced & into meals for the week. All that & more for $29prices & freshness cannot be beaten (unless you garden yourself, which sadly plants die so I can't.

How wonderful for you! I wish we had a farmers market like that around me. I would love to be able to buy my produce at such a great price and so much fresher.
