My SOUVENIR from SYDNEY AUSTRALIA and a little something for YOU too!

This is about my little souvenir I picked up the last time I was in Sydney Australia. And a little gift for you too.

pics from tourists destinations and bug Australia

In the Spring 5% Challenge out next destination is Sydney Australia. I got the plane off the ground this morning for the Clovers. The last time I was in Australia (wink wink) I brought home this little cutie...

She is the newest member of our family...a female Blue & Tan Australian Terrier puppy...when she is older, she will lose some of her black...and develop a scruffy mane around her face...full grown, she will be slightly larger than our cat...Theo Doorman. We finally decided on her middle name. Thanks to everyone for all of the name suggestions in a previous blog. emoticon

We named her SYDNEY ULUROO. Our last name starts with a V...so her initials are SUV. She is going to be my little Sport Utility Vehicle...as soon as I get her trained to be my little running buddy. emoticon

We named her after the city Sydney and Uluru National Park. We changed the spelling... more like Jillaroo or kangaroo. emoticon

emoticon And my gift to you...not something you can feel or touch or return if you don't like it...it is not a cheesy touristy dust collector or ugly t-shirt... it is more like advice or words of encouragement....TRACK YOUR FOOD AND STAY IN RANGE. Oh, that is the second part of the challenge this week. I am sorry, if you don't like to track. I think it is a necessary evil if you are going to be successful at this. I am a numbers kind of girl, so I don't mind tracking. You must KNOW exactly what you are eating. Think of it as KNOWLEDGE...which will give you POWER to WIN. Knowledge is power.

I'm home for vacation for two weeks--I'm going to try and track my meals the old fashion way on a sheet of paper. I don't have much luck on the computer but I know I can do it on paper. That's my challenge!! emoticon

What an adorable name for an adorable little dog. They are the most wonderful, and faithful friends in the world. I have 2 Mini-Schnauzers. You are right about the tracker. I have found it amazing to learn how many calories we actually eat a day - even in the healthy food. Thanks for sharing with us. emoticon emoticon

Sydney Uluroo is adorable and will make a fine running companion. I wish I could have a dog but I am allergic and I have a landlord who hates them. You are right about tracking. 112 days on SP 112 days of tracking. I have not reached my goals all 112 days but they were lessons. Thanks for sharing your pictures. There are 3 places I want to go before I die. Alaska, Japan and Australia.

I guess it's true what people say, "you get what you need, just at the time when you need it". I really needed to hear about the importance of tracking. I DON'T like it, Not At All... but it's what I really need to do! Thanks for the souvenir!!!

Have been to Australia. Loved Sydney, loved Uluru. Love terriers in general. As for tracking, it is a must.

Cute puppy! You are right. Tracking is everything. When I don't, I struggle. When I do, I don't struggle as much. emoticon

I've been experimenting with intermittent tracking (twice a week), so far so good for staying in maintenance range. It probably wouldn't work so well for weight loss, unless one was very disciplined....

The dog is adorable! emoticon

Syndey is a beauty...I'm hoping to see picts of her as she grows.

And as to tracking...I found I HAVE to track. It keeps me honest, and accountable. Don't really like it, but I do it ...every day.
Now, I don't like exercise either...but not as successful doing that everyday, Wish I was better at doing, spend a lot of time thinging up excuses... emoticon

So true! Even when I go over (even WAY over) on calories, I still track. Because it IS knowledge...and shows me how to handle things better and what NOT to do next time.
