Have decided to close my account at the end of next week.

I have decided to close my Sparks account at the end of next week. I am still not getting any Sparks emails that I signed up for. I contacted Sparks over a week ago without any response. I have tried everything and nothing is working. I still get notices about goodies, messages left on my Sparks page and email messages.
I think the only cure is to start all over again.

With that in mine, I am going to take time off until the end of summer. I will contact some close friends and give those that do not have my email or facebook information a way to keep in touch.

I don't know if I will lose my status as a "Sparks Motivator" but that is OK because I can always start over again. Will miss all of my Sparks friends. xo

    Sorry you are having problems! I have some, too. When I updated to IE 9, it helped some.
You do not have ot have SP to be successful! It is only a tool, and there are similar sites out there. SP does offer wonderful support, and it works when you work it.

    I use Firefox as a browser, and it's AWFUL. Well, perhaps I should say it's great: it provides fantastic protection to my computer. However, it doesn't allow anything at all to escape its eagle eye. Therefore, it's sl-o-o-o-o-wer than molasses, and every few days I, too (just like JAXMOMMY) have to tell SparkPeople to start sending me e-mails again, by unchecking that evil box in My Account. It's extremely annoying, but I'm not 100% sure it's all SP's fault. I place at least half the blame, if not all, on Firefox's ingrained desire to protect my computer from invasion by enemy aliens.

All kidding aside, I don't think it's all SP. SparkPeople has one of the most responsive websites I've ever come across. I'm always amazed that this is so, because I personally think I have some gene that inhibits computer operation! SP is MUCH quicker than my computer's browser, however, which does cause some communication problems, and may even be causing all the challenges we've discussed here in these comments.

    I decided once that no matter what happened I would stay with Spark. I'm also not getting all my e-mails but am hanging in there. Good luck with your decision.

    So sorry that you are leaving. I find that switching to a different browser helps me al lot. That is the only way I can write and send my blogs. I know I contacted SP about a picture on one of my teams that was definetely porn and they never got got back to me about it. had to actually remove it myself by posting more pictures to make it drop off.

    WOW!! I have that same issue... I didn't know why I just kind of ignored it LOL

have you considered instead opening a new account maybe like gmail (it's free) and changing your email on SP to that new account?

    Sorry to hear about you leaving Sparks. I know you were real close to meeting your goals and I kn ow that you can achieve whatever you want please dont give up !!!
I myself am having some health challenges with my heart disease but I am still not giving up . missed logging in some due to doctors appointments and tests.

    Not sure who is your email provider but I had an issue with yahoo. Somehow SP mail was being put in the spam folder. Did you check there?
I had a similar situation with SP tech support -where they never answered my message.

    Hi! I'm so sorry that you will be leaving SP, but I can kind've understand! Your problems could be similar to mine. I can't reply on SP to my emails, I can't see any emoticons to use, I can't "like" or comment on my friends feed, I can't post on message boards, but the biggest of all problems is that I can't track my food! The "Add" button is gone! Also, the top of most of my pages are blank! I'm able to write on SP pages like yours, so I did write to Coach Kelly and I'll see if she'll get back to me. I saw your blog on the side of the RA message boards. Good luck to you and hopefully you have a good summer, and hopefully you can join SP all over again. I'll see if I'm still here!

    I'm so sorry you are having this problem. I've not had any problems personally but you are not the only person I"ve heard about who IS experiencing them. How frustrating for you! I hope you will be able to get it straightened out and return to us soon. There are other similar sites also...do not let your goals slip out of sight.

    Teri-- I certainly understand. If I want to continue to get notifications about my Spark team postings I have to go in every Wednesday and uncheck the box that says "never E-mail me again". SP says it is our E-mail provider's problem, but they tell me it is Spark's problem and that seems true. If I get a daily message from them or that weekly Spark message it blocks me from getting any others than the ones you mentioned. I hate to see you go, but certainly understand! So frustrating!

    I don't know if it matters since you have already made your decision but at one point only my SP daily emails were getting sent to my junk folder. I was getting some notifications but every daily email was kicked over. Did you check in your junk or spam folder?

    Did you post the problem on the message boards under Results...Panic! Button for Immediate Help? I did this a couple of times when I was having issues and no results and they got back to me the same day. Hope that helps.
If you shut down your page and start over, you will lose everything and will be the same as a new member. Take care of you because you the the most important person in your life!!! Enjoy your summer.

    emoticon emoticon Sorry Sparks was not responsive :( Unfortunately, I think this site has just become way too huge and has totally lost the personal touch and service and yet they keep wanting more and more people to join. I don't know how a handful of people are supposed to keep up with the volume of mail this website must generate..
