Revisiting my goals and progress

This was my 2011 Goal -
Lifestyle change is the goal to achieving a healthy mind and body. 2011 is the year of "Just say Yes" That was the start of real commitment. Writing it down and displaying for all to see has helped. I keep it going...

Now 2012 is here and I have completed my first 1/2 marathon, joined a pilates mat class, continue the yoga and tai chi, climbed up and down Portuguese Bend, working on the running with C25K program and will start Birkram Yoga next month. What more could a girl ask for?

I'm now in the lifestyle of being active and healthy and look pretty good too. It's all kicking in and finally realizing (seeing) the results. When I walk past the mirror, sometimes I have to take a second look at say "is that me? wow lookin pretty good" Then I smile and walk away. Reciting the montra, "keep it up cause you're having fun and feeling good" "Don't want to go back to the old ways"

For 2012 I have also committed to the Beach Cities Challenge and will complete (3) 1/2 marathons this year so I can get the "special" medal from participating in 3 consecutive events. It also keeps me on track, because my biggest fear is that I will stop all this activity, but I can't because I have another event coming up that I've committed to. Oh and I've also announced my goal to all my family and friends, and now have something to prove.

Family and friends are calling me to work out with them or join me on my walks. I am searching out new and exciting things to do on the weekend so I can be outside and active. Watch Biggest Loser for motivation. "If they can do it, surely I can do it!"

Can't wait to get on the boat and wakeboard my tushy off this summer. I know all this exercise will give me more endurance and enable me to have longer runs...woo hoo! I have even toiled with the idea of actually buying a bikini. I have not worn a bikini in many years. So a new goal to work towards for summer. I also want to lose another 10 pounds and tone up. The pilates should really do the trick, I just need to make the most of it and really focus when I'm taking the class. It's a lot of fun.

Another goal for 2012 is to look really good for my 10th wedding anniversary. I've got 2 months to get where I want to be...I know I'll make it!
