Simply Filling Day One.. Follow up..

Continuing from my post yesterday.. Lessons made aware of, and will be working to learn, from Day One.

Lesson # 1: I had the Uncle Ben's Brown and Wild Rice, perfectly seasoned easy cook packet.. . I did not read the label carefully when I bought it (and I ALWAYS read labels..bad bad Robin), and this is not a PF. The Brown rice and the Wild Rice by itself or even combined would have been, but they added Canola oil and some spices, so no longer a PF as it was packaged.
Next time, READ the FREAKING label.. Like I said I always do, I don't know what I was thinking in this case.

It was SOOOOOOOO good though.. which even if I screwed up on the PF part, lesson learned for next time, but I did also learn that I REALLY can enjoy Brown rice, or Wild Rice.. I was VERY leery of that and if I could eat those.. So that was great.. even Hubby liked it.
Next time I'll get the Brown Rice, or Wild or both, mix them and season them myself and add one of my teaspoons of healthy oil, and the it WILL be a power food..

Lesson #2:
Bascially I need to measure and portion my lean meats even if I dont have to according to the plan , because even with the fairly small amount I had on my plate (it was probably 6 oz, so maybe not THAT small), I totally overate on it. I felt full about half way through my plate, and I was making sure to eat a little of each thing on my plate as I went (recommendation from WW for SFT.. so that if I did get full, I had a little bit of everything, including my veggies..so if I was full and stopped eating, I'd still had a balanced meal). WELL.. I should have stopped, but I kept thinking it all tasted so good, and I kept eating. Goes EXACTLY against the plan and what I'm trying to learn, so that is a big "Focus and Work On"..issue.

Still have lots of work to do figuring out power foods, and finding something for the darn sweet tooth.. HAD to have one of those molasses cookies last night.. I COULD have eaten 3 no prob, but made sure to eat the one, VERY slowly.. so I could enjoy and savor the taste..
