Wednesday's shopping experience!

Thursday, March 29, 2012

I was hoping to go for a walk at lunch yesterday, but figured with my back in the rough shape that it is...and the freezing rain coming down, that I would instead hit the local grocery store, via automobile.

I figured I would pick up some goodies for the office. And by goodies, I mean "healthies". emoticon

As I walk in to the store I am hit with:

I slow down, then give myself a mental slap in the face and keep moving forward. I come to the following :

And I buy a bog of them instead!

Not gonna lie....it was hard passing the Cinnabon bread up!

As I go through and pick up my fruits and veggies, I remember I want some water for my office; as I whip down an isle to find the water I instead come across this:

Yup...you guessed it MORE of the bread. So I stop, thinking, I can have some treats in moderation, right?
I whip out my handy dandy Weight Watcher's Calculator to see how many points I would be sacrificing only to find out EACH SLICE is SIX POINTS!!!! I immediately put the bread down and speed away from the distraction!!! Weight Watchers has a comparable bread at a fraction of the points...MOVE ALONG SISTA!!!

I decide I want some new tea in my office, to mix things up a bit, and I come across this:

It made me giggle, because I certainly can't see Wayne siting back and sipping a cup o tea. No doubt he does, just found this an odd product for him to be endorsing...this must be a sign I am getting old, as I still see Wayne as a Rookie, endorsing beer or fast cars...when really, he isn't.

As I am headed to the cash after picking out my tea and the rest of my 'healthies' I stroll past:

AND THEY WERE ON SALE!!!!
Now for anyone who REALLY knows me, they know this is my all time fave treat, next to a Turtle! I am the person who buys these the day the hit the shelves, I LIVE for Easter just for these bad boys!!! I am proud to say that I only stopped to take the picture! I needed something as my new screen saver in the office!!! emoticon

I am also proud to say that this season I have not had ONE SINGLE EGG!!!!

You gotta know...it's killing me people!!! Especially when a colleague does this:

For those of you wondering, those are two eggs dropped at my desk...mini, yet dangerous!! I passed them along to some other unsuspecting colleague!

Anyway, this is a rough glimpse into my basket...

The Water and 'Smart Ones' meals are on the other cart shelf.

All and all, I think my trip was a successful one; I managed to bypass all of Satan's temptations along the way! emoticon

Later Sparkers,

WALK!WALK!WALK!

I find myself zoning out as I pass everything except the produce section. Then I race past all the other aisles, only diving down one if I need something specific. Browsing would put me in the poorhouse as well as putting all of those pounds back on! Good job resisting temptation!

PS, I used to like Cadbury creme eggs, and I have a friend who absolutely obsesses over them. But one time I put one in my purse and it got squashed. It looked so gross that I have never been able to consume another one. Try that!

    You are so smart!

When I got to the picture of the tea I was thinking "that looks like Wayne Gretzkey". LOL! That is too funny.

The only candy I have a weakness to is Reeses Peanut Butter Eggs. Any other candy, including other Reeses stuff, I can pass on. But those eggs. Darn those eggs! emoticon

Ok, now you've got me wanting a cup of tea. emoticon
