Thing just keep getting worse

Thursday, March 29, 2012

I have wasted the last three months. And it is only getting worse instead of better. I really don't know how to get back on track. I have to get back on track, my health is already suffering. Give me the strength to take care of myself.

ahhhhhh come on you have to get back on track! you are the one who inspired me! Remember telling me to go out in one direction from my front door for 5 minutes? Its been almost life altering! I had no idea I could barely walk 5 minutes down my street! Praying you get back on track soon! You got this! emoticon

The best advice is when you do not feel like exercising or eating right just do it anyway. Prepare for day the night before and as some one said fake it until it becomes true. emoticon emoticon

Oh Angela I have been wondering what was up. I know it is frustrating when we go off track, and know you can do this.
Start with the basics.
1. Drink 8=12 glasses of water per day.
2. Exercise 15 minutes a day. Then increase as you go.
Start there then start eating a healthy breakfast. Change one meal at a time.
You got this!

I've been struggling with getting back on track too...I've finally just gone with the enough is enough mentality...and told my mind to stfu and just start with SOMETHING. I started with just water. Then it was walks... and for me, blogging helps a lot. Once I get the bs out of my brain that is unrelated to eating/exercising, then I seem to be able to focus more on what I NEED TO DO. It's weird, but I tell things to eff off. For instance, today, they brought in desserts for work. I told those desserts to eff off and stayed away. Give it a shot! it makes you feel more powerful...or at least it does for me.
YOU can do this!! You will get back on track..It is inevitable.
Good luck!!!
Hang in there!!

Just remember - start small - find one thing you can do and start a streak. I know it's not easy as I've not been exercising lately and there was a time when I didn't miss doing at least 10 minutes a day. Water is my thing that keeps me going. I can drink my water and I know it's good for me. It's the one thing that I'm consistent with. Beyond that, I'm trying to eat more fruits and veggies every day, not just during the week when I pack my lunch and snacks for work. I'm also trying to trade out some things that I know I shouldn't eat because they aggravate my allergies. Little things are keeping me from gaining and right now, I'm happy with that. When I can, I will start adding the exercise back to my routine, but for now, I'm thrilled if I exercise once a week and I'm not even doing that most weeks. Sometimes we just have to focus on what is working and let the rest go until we can get back to it.

I think with faith, endurance and focus that you can do it. I had lost as many as 30 pounds last year and gained it back. I felt depressed for awhile and just started to eat. This didn't do anything but make me disgusted with my image. My stomach pouch had now become a full blown ball. I decided recently that I could use the quote from my favorite movie Shawshank Redemption and either get busy living or get busy dying. I chose living or trying as it may be. I had on hand to workout dvds that I purchased last year and never used and started there. I am now on what is my day 4 and I joined spark people yesterday. I am trying to lose 100 pounds by December 2013. If I succeed at losing just 20 this year then I know my trying paid off. You just have to dig deep, forgive yourself when you fall and get back up and start again. You can do it. Explore multiple options to figure out what works for you, dvds, personal trainer, gym, walking, eating alone, eating with others, changing how you shop....pick one and start there and pray for endurance cause that's what will get you through it, after all, you're worth it! Best of luck to you and keep logging in here and writing because this may be your best form of support. emoticon
