Surgery results!!!!

Whoo! Pretty groggy and in pain this morning. Yesterday I had a laparoscopy where the doc found and removed three sections of Stage 1 Endometriosis! Yaaaay!!!! I'm so relieved that there was something causing my pain and that it wasn't ovarian cancer!!!

She said the worst spot was on the middle back side of my uterus and that it was roughly the size of a dime. My back is hurting this morning, but it's more sore instead of excruciating like it's been before.

After surgery I felt surprisingly good! It was the pain meds, heh. On the drive home (hubby drove) we had to stop so I could throw up. We got a coke to settle my stomach, which just resulted in even more painful throwing up, heh. Fail. But we made it home and I took more pain meds and slept a lot. This morning I'm in the worst pain so far, but I just took pain meds, so hopefully I'll start feeling better soon. :)

I too, wish you a speedy Recovery.

So Gland for you! Knowing it wasn't cancer, and it wasn't nothing has to be a huge relief! 7-up,Club Soda, or Gingerale might be more settling to your stomach.

    Hope the pain recedes soon!

Aw thanks for the support! Currently my plan is to see how this goes, stay on continuous birth control til I have a kid or two and then have a hysterectomy once I'm done with kids. My doc said considering I'd had that much growth while already being on continuous birth control that I'll probably be looking at several more surgeries down the line. The joys of being a woman, right? ;)
I have an awesome heating pad for cramps - its a "hot hug" toy that's a large stuffed piggy with a removable heat pad that hides in his stomach. It's the best, heh.

I know exactly how u feel!!!!! I had 4 Laparoscopy's because of Endometriosis most recently in august and 4 weeks ago I just had to finally give in and get the hysterectomy that was always in my future because of the Endometriosis.
You should start feeling better within the week and by two weeks you'll be fine, although the first doc that did it to me was a butcher and it took over a month , but the doc that did the last 3 was awesome.
I wish you a speedy recovery, I hope the doctor made you aware that it will come back eventually . It took a while for it to come back after I had my son, but it eventually did and when I had my hysterectomy he said there was just so much scarring from the endometriosis from over the years.
I wonder, you ever use a heating pad for cramps? I honestly think that has something to do with it, because every woman that I've ever talked to with it always used a heating pad for cramps...
    God Bless!
