Great pictures! I lived in Dallas. I traveled a lot with my work though and always loved how if we had the right type of Spring weather the bluebonnets would be everywhere! You have been to the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, right? Just beautiful!

    Oh that looks lovely!

I think I must take a cycling vacation in Texas some day. I lived in Austin for a little while but didn't bicycle there (pity!)

Thanks for sharing...

Beautiful pictures. I miss the bluebonnets. I used to drive between Huntsville and College Station and there were fields and fields of blue. I also love the Hill Country. We spent vacations there when I was a teen. My husband and I spent our honeymoon (almost 52 years ago) at New Braunfels and my brother had a condo on the lake outside of Austin. Lovely memories.

There are areas in Texas with lots of rattlesnakes. Personally I have ran across several over the years; however, I have never seen one here in the Hill Country. Lots of folks go into the Bluebonnet fields with their kids for photos and I have never seen on the news of any snake bites of any kind from this sort of activity. Will ask at work as to what the ER has seen over the area with snake bites.

Great pictures! I have read that it isn't wise to go wander in the flowers on the roadside due to rattlesnakes in Texas. Especially the bluebonnets. Is that true?
