Yesterday was a busy day without much activity. Work in the morning followed by a business lunch meeting, more work in the afternoon (desk work), quick salad & multigrain toast for supper, then off to my daughter's concert followed by coffee at Tim Horton's. Whew! The good news is that even with eating lunch at a restaurant and coffee in the evening, I still stayed on track with my calories. I finally remembered to use my pedometer :) which only had about 5500 steps on it, but I managed to resist the donuts at Tim's and leave half the sweet potato fries at lunch, so all in all I think I did alright.
I am gradually remembering to eat fruit when craving sweets, and chew gum when I know a craving will wear off if I resist long enough. Lots of water helps stave off those pesky cravings too, especially with a bit of lemon juice. I keep a bottle in the fridge at work so I can always have some on my desk while I work. Another plus is it helps me stay alert.
I am looking forward to going for a walk tonight, and finding time for my yoga DVD. I am so thankful for Spark People and my Spark Friends who keep my accountable and motivated.
