I am so narcissistic, sometimes...

& it is not always about Me Me ME.

I was a little scared & sad yesterday morning, & your posts on my last blog really helped.

I am super happy for my beautiful young lady daughter~ & she is going off to do something wonderful & new .

(I did not go to college~ kinda regret sometimes, but then again, kinda not)

Yesterday was so much fun walking around campus (& yes, I tracked that 90 minute tour as 60 minutes of walking, because we WALKED)

There was another mom & daughter, wearing jeans & sneakers...two birds of a feather.
& I looked at myself & my daughter, we both had on black pants & boots.

Weird! & wonderful.

She goes about singing, she loves to act, & write.

Somehow, in the distraction of life & everyday things~ she has become My daughter.
Birds of a feather.

I am proud.

But it's not about me. She is her own person, in many wonderful ways.
She can do math.
She is also a Fashionista! & had the courage to cut her long hair into a short & sassy do,
She is a hard worker, & goes above & beyond in everything she takes on.
She is a loyal friend.

I wish I were more like Her!

But I am so very proud.

She is beautiful and I think she is like you only with a little uniqueness thrown in.

College can be good and bad at the same time. It's not for everyone.

I'm a jeans and sneaker person but not my mom. She was the prissy kind. LOL.

Last time I saw my mom (about 2 weeks ago) she cried a bit because we were there to help move her stuff in but had to leave that day (she lives about 3 hours away) She said that something along the lines that you spend all this time raising kids and then they leave. I told her, if you raised us right that is what we should do. Head out on our own and make our own life. You don't want us to stay with you and not do anything with our lives, that is not right.

She was happy after that, and she really did raise me and my brother right. We turned out to be great adults.

I'm sure your daughter is proud of you too!

She is beautiful. It's so wonderful to see our kids in new eyes sometimes, and realize how they are thier own person. I bet she's alot of fun!

She sounds a lot like my DDa - the singing, the cutting her hair, the fashionista side, the loyal friend even to those who have gone out of their way to not deserve the friendship.

What a wonderful young lady you have raised!
