I was so excited when I stepped on the scale yesterday and saw that in my first 2 weeks I was down 7.2lbs!!! That's awesome! Of course I started calculating how quickly I will reach my goal with amazing weeks like this, but then I had to stop and remember all the diets of the past. Your first 2 weeks are always HUGE and very motivating, but then it slows down to a steady progression of a few pounds here and there. This time around instead of being dissapointed when I'm not dropping 3+ lbs a week, i'm going to think back on where I came from. Even if I stay the same, i'm still down a whopping 7.2lbs... which is AWESOME! I like to think of it in terms of hamburger... I imagine 7 packages of raw meat and it makes me so excited to have lost all of that! There will be no sad weigh ins for me this time around, it's a lifestyle change and as long as I continue down this path, I WILL reach my goal eventually!
