Try, try, again

Off and running. A friend shared her fears with me regarding possible weight gain since a new injury prohibits her from running. In considering her fears throughout our work day, I asked her how she lost weight prior to running.

"Food tracking," she said, "I tracked ever morsel and and I hated it!"

That reminded me that I have always resisted tracking my food intake. It's far more discipline then I have ever had. I shared this with my friend and we talked awhile about the resistance to accountability. Seeing how my discouraged friend was made me think that I want to accept this new challenge with her.

So, she will join me with her own tracking, just to reset the eating pattern until she can exercise aggressively again. And I will hopefully learn to focus on what goes in my mouth. I downloaded a free and simple tracking system for my cell so I'll have no excuse not to track.

I'll take off the 7 or so pounds I've put on since my daughters wedding in August.
Meanwhile, any weight my friend loses as a result will mean new and cuter running cloths when she begins to run again.
