Tore a muscle last week. Bummer! Couldn't do any exercise that involved leg strength. Walking/runnning, karate, zumba, fitness were ALL out of the picture. Double bummer. So what's a girl to do? &?%$% planks! That's what. Planks, more planks and a lot of swedish ball. And that's what I did. So how did it go? I actually LOST the two pounds I had gained back. Yeah!
Sure, I was not a happy camper when I felt the muscle tearing (I could swear I hear it too!), and I was rather dejected when the doctor told me it would take long for me to recover. But hey, he doesn't know me! I've had worse prognoses, and defeated them. So yesterday, I went back to my karate class. Granted some moves were a little difficult and had to be cut short, my leg handled it fairly well. Fitness training tonight. Boum baby!
This is not my first setback, far from it. But now I know: when life throws you lemons, you make a darn good lemonade and sip it with a vengeance! Ha!
