A lot accomplished, and it isn't even noon!

I photocopied all of my NOPAs (Notification of Personnel Action) last night, and DH is delivering them to my contact at the retirement office - she needs them to figure out any under-payments or overpayments in my retirement account. (Yes, the gov't has computers. Apparently they make mistakes. There were times that $150 should have been taken out of my paycheck, and only $125 was taken out. So then I owe that $25. Usually about 2 or 3 times a year. Computer glitches or something.) Anyway, this is a HUGE step toward retirement.
I signed and submitted the "Intent to Return" form - we do this each year, and for 24 years I've signed that yes, I intend to return next school year. Now I'm signing saying NO - I'm retiring!!!!!
I also typed up my letter of resignation due to retirement, or whatever it would be called. Letter of retirement? Anyway, original to the commissioner of education, cc to the superintendent, my principal, and human resources. They'll go out in the inter-office mail and save me three stamps!
AND I managed to get six squares up on the mural, so the left hand quarter of the mural is finished. I only had two students show up, apparently there was an assembly I knew nothing about - so I had one kid on the other side of the ladder, helping me, and the other student traded off with her. We got more done, the three of us, than I do with two full classes!!!!!
We'll see what the afternoon brings. It was a hot and humid morning, and I'd really rather just go home. I have a dehydration headache (and I'm chugging down the water!)
