Since my father fell, there's been an endless string of drama to keep me occupied. Somehow I've managed to keep loosing weight. How is that possible? I think I have an answer.
1. I keep going to WW meetings. It's something to look forward to and it breaks up the work/home/work/home routine. There's some lovely people there and it's a positive experience. Our leader doesn't turn the meeting into an endless sales pitch, which is nice.
2. I log my food somewhere. Maybe I log it here. Maybe I put it in a WW tracker. Maybe it's on a post-it note in the bottom of my purse. Things are chaos, but I can always find a piece of paper.
3. I pray. A little quiet time every day with God has done wonders for my body and mind. It gives me the strength to face whatever the day tosses my way.
I'm not perfect. Exercise has been a challenge for me recently. I'm tempted by all kinds of goodies at work and in the grocery. I still give in to despondency now and again. It's life. Even so, I've never felt more alive than I do right now. I enjoy my job and the people I work with. I have a new car, so the worries about transportation are gone. I can look at myself in the mirror again. My priorities are clear. My outlook is more positive than ever.
I wish that for you guys. Find that reason to get out of bed in the morning and thank God every day for it. Remind yourself that for every mistake you make, there's are many more things you've done right. Don't be afraid to feel your emotions and if you are afraid, reach out to someone. Never feel you have to be alone.
Work time calls, loves. Be good to you.
