Today's Strategy for 100% Compliance

Monday, March 26, 2012

This is what I needed today to pick up where my mental toughness let off. Guess I wasn't singing loud enough. Couldn't resist the baked goods while shopping. Ridiculous calories.

What matters is what I do after I've failed: Measure and track everything, drink more water, go to strength training class, healthy dinner, don't stay up too late.

"When you make a wrong turn on the road, your GPS does not go berserk, berate you and drive you off a cliff. It calmly tells you to get back on track."
quote from ~Indygirl

I love the "Knight Rider" setting on our TomTom. It says we have altered course and that we should resume our mission before innocent bystanders are injured. So, next time you get off track, imagine Kitt in the background saying "we need to minimize civilian casualties."

It's so nice to move beyond beating ourselves up. Maybe you should just plan for a baked treat when you go shopping then you
a. don't have to perceive you have done something "wrong"
b. feel relaxed knowing you are allowed to eat this because it is in your plan
c. can actually give yourself credit for sticking to your plan

Now you deserve flowers. emoticon

or - they make duct tape in so many colors now. We can buy red and cut it out in the shape of lips and no one will know it is there.

    I love Indygirl quotes.
What is past is done... what matters is what are you going to do now and: emoticon
Don't lose your confidence if you slip.
Be grateful for a pleasant trip,
And pick yourself up; dust yourself off;
Start all over again.
You are doing it my friend!

Great attitude! Of course we are all going to make mistakes, but it is always how you pick yourself up afterwards that counts! Way to go fellow firecracker.

Heh it is all about the journey Free. It is the process and what we learn and do during that process and the person that we are at the end. We are a sum of all of our day to day experiences and not just of one single moment. You are doing great!

    I love those Indyisms too!

Had to laugh at the photo -- I could have used that this weekend, myself. Oh well, stand up, dust off, carry on! I see I've missed a few of your blogs, so I'll have to go back and catch up.
