Yesterday I took the kids to the museum and then we went to Denny's for lunch. Denny's, by the way, is the closest I can get to taking six kids to an actual restaurant where they can be taught proper table manners but I don't leave with a $100 freaking bill. Anyhoo, I chose the grilled chicken avocado sandwich from the Fit Fare choices, which means it had under 550 calories. I got the veggies on the side instead of fries, and I got water instead of lemonade. Woohoo!! Victory number one.
I wasn't feeling well, so when we got home I basically passed out on the bed for a couple hours. I knew I needed to go to the grocery store because the kids are starting their second - yes, you heard me right, second - week of spring break and there's no real food left in the house. So I dragged my sorry behind out of bed and got it done. When I came back I decided that, since I was making myself move, I might as well make myself work out too. And I did it! A full hour on the NT, rocked it, felt awesome! Victory number two!
Taking it easy today but looking forward to eating the bushels of berries in my fridge later on.
