I fully intended to make sure that THIS week was the one where I got it in gear and exercised EVERY SINGLE DAY and started eating better. Then... I ended up with strep throat. I ran on Tuesday night (NOT a good run, either), and then Wednesday morning, started not feeling so well. By Wednesday afternoon I was full-on miserable. I'm not normally one to take sick time, but Thursday morning I woke up and put in for a sub. I still went in to school, since I had to do sub plans and help another teacher with an activity for 1st hour (I just can't back out of stuff like that!), but then I left and came home and slept for a few hours. After that, I got up and dragged myself to the Minute Clinic at CVS and sure enough, strep it was. Slept more on Thursday, most of Friday, and then had to go in to school yesterday for a Saturday school we'd organized and I'd planned, but then I took it easy again most of the day. I *hate* being sick!!
For some reason, when I'm sick, I crave comfort foods like crazy. So needless to say, eating's been a joke this week again. But I'm starting to feel better, so even if I don't actually run, my plan is to take one more day (today) to take it easy, and then at least walk tomorrow. One of these days I'll get it back in gear. ;)
