Good kind of crazy vacation?!?

Saturday, March 24, 2012

Some of you might have known that I went to spend some time with my dd and her family for about 6 days over St. Patrick's day weekend.

Just got back home this past Tues. While there, my sister had text letting us know her boyfriend had gone into the hospital. They think it is possibly kidney stones, but still aren't sure exactly what is going on. (One piece of info you need to know is they had been planning on taking a cruise to the Bahamas for months and they were scheduled to leave next Wed. Mar. 28.)

On my drive back Tues. while talking to said sister, she somewhat joked asking if I knew anyone who had a valid passport and could take time off at the drop of a hat, so that she could have a Plan B. I mentioned, again jokingly, that mine was current b/c dh, ds & I went diving this past Jan. Long story sort, guess who is Plan B? Yep, you got it. I will be leaving for an unplanned cruise this coming Tues. to the Bahamas. I just keep shaking my head trying to figure out how it all happened.

I am excited to go, but....so much to do and so very little time to do it in. We were able to exchange people on the cruise (for not a small fee i might add. Ridiculous!) Dh found a relatively cheap flight. (Leaving at 6:00 AM, but beggars can't be choosers.) Now, try to locate bathing suit (eeek), shorts (hope they fit from last summer)...just remembered all summer clothes still packed away for the winter. Gotta wash them, sun screen....and the list goes on.

So, if you don't hear from me very much in the next few days I am probably buried in boxes & errands due to trying to get ready. Hopefully, after next Tues., I will be enjoying an unscheduled, frantically put together vacation!
