I'm The Bright Star of the Week

We just finished the first week of the Spring 5% Weight Loss Challenge.I am down 3 pounds.When I went to log in my weight loss on the team page this morning I noticed an announcement concerning the Bright Star of the Week.Since I like to send a Goodie to the person who is the Shining Star of the Day I wanted to make sure I sent one to the Bright Star of the Week.

What a surprise to find my name when I clicked on the announcement.I was chosen since I accomplished drinking 10 glasses of water a day during the first week of the challenge.We were suppose to drink at least 8 glasses.

I enjoy drinking water so it wasn't all that hard for me to get in at least 10 glasses of water each day.The thing that has really helped with getting in plenty of water each day are the nice tumblers that I had ordered from QVC.They are called travel tumblers.They are double insulated and come with a drinking straw and a tightly sealed removable lid.The tumblers are 22 ounces so I can easily drink almost 3 glasses of water in no time.I refill my tumbler during the day straight from the tap.I refill it at night and place it in the refrigerator so my water is nice and cold in the morning.I try to drink one tumbler full of water in the morning before I have my first cup of hot green tea.I also usually drink at least 1/2 or more of a tumbler of water when exercising for an hour doing my Wii Walk It Out workout.

I am so thrilled that I am down 3 pounds the first week of the challenge.Sure wish I had joined a challenge before now.Iam staying very focused since I know I have the weigh in lurking and will need to post how I did each Saturday during the challenge.

Now on to another good week...

    congratulations and from your numbers you were drinking way more than 10!!! that is wonderful. and I like your way of doing it - its amazing now much easier it is to drink it if we only make it more accessible to ourselves!

and thank you for the lovely flowers.

I'm with you regarding water!
I drink 2 cups before exercise and 2 more before leaving for work,
and couldn't imagine skipping it : )
Water is good for us!
