First of all it is nice to know that the movers got everything all packed up and on the truck so my Mom is ready to leave Mexico tomorrow. All is organized. So today my sister who has worked really hard gets a spa day and will get a pedicure, manicure, facial, and massage. Then she and my Mom and I will go out to eat at Mom's favorite Italian place one more time. So it will be a bit of a high calorie day for me. But planned for.
Okay what I did yesterday as an experiment. Worked all day yesterday with Mom packing and such and was tired when I got home. DH wanted to go to a sports bar down here where you get good wings. So off we went. It was actually a late lunch around 3 pm. I ate the wrong stuff.....I mean what kind of right stuff can you eat at a sports bar?? I admit too that with the Mom move and all I was a bit emotional and drank two beers. I also ate 4 chicken wings, 2 pieces of beer battered fish, french fries, catsup, oh and coleslaw. It was delicious. I totally enjoyed it and my DH company. So that was around 3pm.......so by 7pm was hungry again but made myself not eat anything else for the rest of the day. So for the whole day I had this one meal and my protein drink(150 calories) for breakfast and that was it for the day. I wanted to see what weight gain I would have for one bad meal. The verdict......1 pound up. I know I went over my normal 1200 calories and I know it was loaded with salt. So for sure some is water weight. I find it very interesting though how quickly one can show a weight increase with just one meal. Today I am going to try and do the same thing and that is only eat the one big Italian meal around 3pm and then nothing else. Perhaps the damage won't be too bad. But I am not going to worry about it as it's the "good bye" meal for my sister and Mom.
